The Hakushu 18yo Peated Malt Anniversary Edition is a limited edition Japanese whisky created to celebrate Suntory Whisky's 100th anniversary. The whisky is made from malt whiskies aged for at least 18 years in various casks, and the Hakushu Distillery uses peat and mountain water filtered through ancient granite rocks. The whisky has a luminous gold color and a complex and gentle smoke. It has top notes of sage, ripe green apple, and hints of ripe pineapple, with layers of herbal, grapefruit, and acacia honey notes, and a clean smoke that lingers with undernotes of fresh green citrus
